ReStory beginner guide

Start by clearing the shop, learning the workbench, and setting up the internet. Your initial equipment is a basic screwdriver and simple brush; the computer then opens the marketplace, parts, tools, and e-mail systems that drive progression.

Your first shop setup

The repair shop is in Akiba, Tokyo. At the beginning, clear the clutter and learn the three areas of the room: the customer counter and workbench in the middle, storage on the left, and the shop lever plus the bicycle on the right.

The starting workbench has a mat, notebook, spare-parts box, basic screwdriver, and simple brush. The cash register starts with ¥1,000; payments from finished jobs must be collected at the counter rather than appearing automatically in your balance.

Use the wall lever to open or close the shop. Riding the bicycle home ends the day and saves progress, so finish or safely box the current repair before leaving.

Set up the internet and accept work

The shop computer initially has no internet. After the connection is installed, Gozilla Fairfox provides the Marketplace, Home Depot, and Parts - Packuten; Outlink Express handles mail and online orders.

Marketplace sells second-hand devices and random-part boxes. Home Depot sells tools, furniture, decorations, stickers, and paint sets, while Parts - Packuten sells device parts and service licenses.

E-mail orders arrive through the courier and have a three-day completion window for a positive review. Read the requested services before buying anything, then keep the order device and purchased parts together.

Money, licenses, and weekly bills

Service licenses unlock parts and marketplace offers for additional device types. The current progression starts with the Nony PMP license listed at ¥40,000; later visitors and story beats require more device families.

The shop has weekly costs: rent ¥2,000, internet ¥500–1,500 depending on the selected plan, electricity ¥1,500, and security ¥1,000 once the corresponding services are active. Keep operating cash separate from money reserved for bills and licenses.

A reliable early routine is: check mail and counter orders, inspect the request, buy only required parts, complete the notebook checklist, collect payment, store unfinished work in its box, and ride home to save.
